RCA 521D radio into Fender Champ amp

I had another beautiful 5A tube radio which is difficult to restore as a radio but easy to turn into a small guitar amp. It was a Canadian RCA 521D one in an amazing Bakelite cabinet.

Two knobs are selected for a gain and tone control. I put a small Hammond 290WX, capable for 237V@50mA AC, right enough for Champ circuit.

Original worn out grill cloth was replaced with a nice metal grid.

The amp looks great and sounds stunning!

Following are pictures of amp guts, chassis, and final product. The amp was listed on the FB market for parts price plus $50 and was sold in about a week.
